What Makes Us Different
Our Culture: A Catholic Co-op That Feels Like Family
Holy Family Homeschool Cooperative is built around relationships, not rigid rules. We're a community of families who encourage one another, share our gifts, and understand that raising children and homeschooling is both rewarding and challenging.
We believe in grace over perfection, support over pressure, and joy over stress.
As a co-op, parents work together to create an environment where everyone is welcome, everyone contributes, and no one has to do it alone.
We're not trying to build the perfect Co-op. We're trying to build holy families.
How our Co-op Works
We meet twice a week for families to pray, learn, and enjoy life together. Families are welcome to attend one or both days, allowing each family to choose the schedule that best fits their needs. Some classes are taught by professional teachers, while others are led by homeschooling parents who generously share their time and talents. That's what a co-op is all about, families helping families.
Our community reflects the life of the Cathedral of St. Eugene, with English and Spanish-speaking families learning, praying, and building friendships together in a welcoming, Christ-centered environment.
We currently offer a nursery, Montessori preschool, and enrichment classes for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, providing opportunities to grow in faith, friendship, and hands-on learning together.
What a Co-op Week Looks Like
Holy Family Homeschool Cooperative meets twice a week at the Cathedral of St. Eugene in Santa Rosa. Our two-hour mornings are designed to complement your homeschool, not take it over. After class, families are welcome to stay for lunch, playground time, and special events like Mass, Confession, the Rosary, and other parish celebrations.
Learning Day
Our primary academic day focuses on science, social studies, physical education, and religious formation. Through hands-on activities, teamwork, and prayer, children learn together in a joyful, Christ-centered environment.
Classes are taught by a combination of professional teachers and homeschooling parents who generously share their gifts with the co-op.
→ Montessori Preschool, led by Mrs. Christina Lorbeer, is offered on Learning Day.
Throughout the year, our families also gather for Co-op Mass and Co-op Confessions, helping children grow in their love Jesus in the sacraments.
Family Day
Family Day is a relaxed morning centered on art, friendship, play, and Catholic community. It's a time for families to slow down, enjoy one another, and strengthen the friendships that make our co-op special.
Many families especially enjoy this day because it complements homeschooling, online schooling, or another co-op, while providing meaningful opportunities for children to create, play, and grow together.
Once each month, our Community Day concludes with our Co-op Family Rosary, bringing parents and children together in prayer.

Nursery for Young Families
We know many homeschool families have babies and little ones, so a nursery is available both days to support moms with younger children.
Prayer at the Heart of the Co-op
Each day we start with group prayer and pray the Angelus together, followed by optional lunch and time for children to play.
Our families also gather in the Cathedral of St. Eugene for:
➤ Monthly Family Mass
➤ Monthly Co-op Confessions
➤ Monthly Co-op Family Rosary
Faith isn’t just a subject we teach. It’s the life we’re trying to pass on to our children.
The Power of the Family Rosary
We feel that the Holy Rosary is the heartbeat of our domestic church. It’s how our families draw closer to Jesus through Mary with dads leading in prayer, mothers nurturing faith, and children learning the love of Christ at their side.
The Rosary is more than a devotion; it’s the liturgy of the family, where Jesus is enthroned as King in every home. When families gather to pray, grace flows, hearts are united, and peace takes root.
“There is no surer means of calling down God’s blessings upon the family than the daily recitation of the Rosary.” - Pope Pius XII
Co-op Life
A Catholic Homeschool Co-op for Families in Santa Rosa
Holy Family Homeschool Cooperative was founded by Catholic parents who wanted something simple.
➤ Not a school.
➤ Not a drop-off program.
➤ Not a replacement for homeschooling.
Just Catholic families praying, learning, and growing together while supporting one another on the journey of raising children who know, love, and follow Jesus.
We meet twice a week at St. Eugene Parish in Santa Rosa, serving homeschool families throughout Sonoma County and the North Bay.
“As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live.” — St. John Paul II
